Competition Competition is a major and fun part of the barbershop world that helps keep us focused on raising the bar of performing excellence. We come together in a spirit of lighthearted contest, to see who's really got top form. We root for each other, cheer each other on, and once the awards have been handed out, we sing and party into the night!
Area Every year in June, Misty River Music Makers makes the trip to a rotating midwest city, to compete in our area contest. Choruses and quartets from throughout the area come together to sing and compete. There are a number of judging categories, and the groups bring complete and entertaining packages.
Each fall, the qualifying choruses and quartets from all the area contests gather together at International competition. This fall the chorus will travel to Orlando, Florida for the contest. As the first place chorus in our area, we will be working hard to improve further and sing our hearts our in Orlando! |
