In June, 2011, Misty River was judged the Best Small Chorus at the Area convention and contest of Harmony, Inc. held in St. Louis. The 22 member chorus won over the judges and audience with their heartfelt rendition of the popular Etta James standard "At Last". Energetic and enthusiastic new members with fresh talent, along with top coaching and strong team work also garnered the "Most Improved" award for the group. Misty River also qualified for the Harmony, Inc. International Competition, now back in the United States in November at Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Misty River Music Makers has been entertaining the Fox Valley's residents, businesses, nonprofit and civic organizations for over 25 years. The chorus is a premier chapter of Harmony, Inc. International, a women's choral organization, going strong for over 50 years with thousands of voices throughout North America.
Misty River always welcomes new members and new audiences. So, if you are interested in brightening your singing spirit in the a capella barbershop style of four part harmonized singing, stop in on Monday night rehearsals at our Geneva location.
